Lincolnshire Area Day - June 24th 2023

Lincolnshire Area Day in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside, held in Dunholme Village Hall on the 24th June, 2023. Our guest speaker was Anne Gosling - who gave us a lively and interesting talk about her life's passion for stitching by hand so many beautiful quilts.

Derbyshire Area Day - 26th November 2022, Pinxton

Area Day organised by Karen Fielder Booth, our Derbyshire Area Rep in Pinxton Village Hall on the 26th November 2022. The event was well attended and we had a number of guests as a buy-one-get-one-free scheme invited people to bring a friend so they could give a guild event a try. Common Threads from Derby were our guest speakers for the day and they brought two wonderful community quilts and gave us an interesting presentation about the therapeutic effects of stitching in groups. They led a morning workshop too with all the fixings to make wonderful Boro Boro Christmas cards.

Regional Day in Gotham with Sarah Humphreys - February 26th and 27th 2022

First in person regional day after lockdown with an enthusiastic and very interesting speaker, Sarah Humphreys, about her history in making quilts. Sarah ran a handsewing project during the morning based on the Japanese Boro Boro technique. Sarah also ran a free motion quilting workshop the following day.
