Activities: a varied programme which encourages trying out old, new or different techniques including current ‘hot’ topics. Often the programme has sessions which have been sparked by show and tell. We occasionally have a sit and sew session but don’t object to anyone getting on with their own work at any meeting - after all the best things about any quilt group is the company. Our membership is very mixed in ability, some very experienced and others new to quilting. No-one gets left behind. In addition we have workshops and talks from external tutors, challenges and projects throughout the year, summer outing which means lunch or tea, Christmas party etc. We recognise that bringing machines is sometimes a pain so we often leave those to workshops and to follow up at home; we have one lady who only machine sews due to injury.
