Other Bursaries

The Anne Tuck Bursary is awarded to a member of Contemporary Textiles (was Contemporary Quilt), a Special Interest Group within The Guild, for an outstanding entry into their annual Contemporary Textiles (was Contemporary Quilt) Challenge at Festival of Quilts by an exhibitor with under three years' membership of the group. Should you be successful, the award of £100 is to be used to enable you to attend a course or workshop to further your quilting skills.

The British Quilt Study Group Research Bursary is awarded yearly to a member of this Special Interest Group. The aim is to fund quality research which is then presented at the Group's annual seminar and published in their Journal, Quilt Studies. Should you win, this award of up to £500 can be used to further develop your research into an aspect of the history or contemporary practice of quilting-making.

Modern Special Interest Group would like to offer a bursary to a member to extend their skills and ideas of Modern Quilting. This could be for a newer member or for a longer-standing member who would like to try a new technique. This bursary is for £1000. It can be spent on classes or workshops, either in person or on Zoom, travel abroad, etc of the winner’s choice. There is no restriction other than that they have educational value.
