Jenny showed us her variation of a Storm at Sea quilt at the Show and Tell at Derbyshire Area Day in November 2021. The patchwork is made of scraps, some of which were twenty years old. Borders and backing were new fabric. The machine quilting highlights the implied circles in the design. The pattern came from an old book and was much harder to put together than it seemed on first reading!

Hand appliquéd quilt designed by American quilter, Patricia Cox, made by Connie Cole, started in 2009 and finished during lockdown. shared at the Derbyshire Area Day in November 2021. Machine quilted around the appliqué and background is hand quilted. Given to eldest grandson whose wife is a very enthusiastic orchid grower!

Vivien Finch's small wall hanging made from leftover Laura Ashley scraps. Hand blanket-stitched houses. Machine quilted. This hangs in her bathroom to remind her of some quite forlorn and lonely days, when we all abided by Covid restrictions.

Vivien Finch's Mount Mellick frame quilt, original design by Di Ford which featured in Quiltmania magazine. Made between 2018-2020. Friends Sue Atkinson and Christine Knight also made this quilt and donated their leftover fabrics to encourage me to take on the project. Hand pieced and appliquéd, hand quilted.

Viven Finch's quilt made as one of four quilts during lockdown in 2020 using up her stash of vintage Laura Ashley fabrics. All 40 inches square and made up as she went along, with varying centre blocks and pieced and appliquéd frames. Hand pieced, hand appliquéd, hand quilted.
