Region 7 Sew-along quilts 2025

The Sew-along was about having fun and not about perfect points; it was about the love of fabrics, colour and design. We selected 6 blocks, that we believe would be achievable for everyone. Participants did not have to stick to the design and were free to pick and mix the blocks in any quantities and placement that they would like. .

2025 Christmas swap

Lots of lovely Christmas decorations and little quilts were swapped across the region.

Spring Postcard Swap April

Lots of lovely spring postcards were swapped in April 2025

Mug Rug SWAP Summer 2025

Participants were asked to make a Mug rug that included a piece of Orange fabric on the front.

Beds Regional Day May 2025

A fun day of twisting and twiddling with Jennie Rayment. and a great show and tell. Lots of lovely prizes in the raffle as well.

Regional Day April 2024

At the Herts Regional Day there was two great speakers. In the morning Dr Susan Kay-Williams, the CEO of The Royal School of Needlework, gave us a talk entitled 5 Coronations, 3 Weddings and a Funeral. In the afternoon we had Pascale Michalski present her talk entitled 'From Painter to Quilter'. Pascale outlined her journey into quilting from her beginnings as artist, painter, illustrator, and a visual storyteller

Postcard Swap Oct 24

This is our first Facebook group swap. Members were asked to create a stitched fabric postcard of their favourite place, colour or patchwork technique.

Bucks regional Day Oct 2024

Bucks regional day was a great success. we had a fabulous talk from Carolyn Forster - all about string quilts. She showed us lots of examples of antique string quilts as well as her own string quilts. The afternoon activity was an enjoyable hand sewn pincushion using lots of lovely strings supplied by Carolyn.
