Past issues of Quilt Studies
BQSG produces two regular publications, Culcita and Quilt Studies and occasional small guides will also be published.
Copies of the current edition of Quilt Studies and most earlier editions are available to purchase from BQSG. Email our Chair or our Treasurer to enquire about availability and costs (including postage).
Visitors to the Festival of Quilts in August are usually able to buy the latest copies of Quilt Studies from Quiltworks, the Quilters' Guild shop. Copies of our publications will also be available for inspection and/or purchase at the BQSG Seminar.
The BQSG newsletter Culcita is usually issued twice each year in January and September. In the interim e-newsletters will be sent out with any other Stop Press items. Culcita carries news, membership information, occasional short research articles, notes, book reviews, booking forms for events, together with a What's on guide for a selection of exhibitions that may interest members. It also provides a forum for members to share information and research questions and the events calendar keeps members up to date with what's happening in the textile world. The newsletters are edited by a BQSG Committee member who is usually in post for three years.
Contributions to both Culcita and the e-newsletters are welcome - simply contact the editor at [email protected] in the first instance to discuss any proposed article. News of events, exhibitions and talks of interest to members are also welcome.
BQSG publishes the papers presented at our annual Seminar in the research journal Quilt Studies which is published in May/June each year. The issues are soft-bound and contain black and white as well as colour illustrations. All members and Associates receive one copy as part of their subscription following renewal in May. International & Institutional Associates also receive one copy.
