Bourne Quilters was formed in 1997 by four friends who believed there was a need for a quilting group in the area. Over the years the group has grown to a very healthy 60+ membership..
We meet every month at Emsworth Community Centre. Our meetings are a mixture of sewing evenings, visiting speakers and workshops.
Every two years in the summer, we hold a show of all the new work undertaken since the last show. The centre-piece is a quilt made by the members which is raffled to raise funds for local charities.

Piecemakers Quilt Group
We are a small friendly group with members of all abilities. We meet the third Monday afternoon of the month 2.00pm to 4.00pm (excepting August and December) and usually have a speaker. We also have a sewing day from 10.00am until 4.00pm on the second Saturday of the month, where we meet at Bowerhill Village Hall, Halifax Road, Melksham, Wilts SN12 6SN, where members bring their own projects. There is always someone to ask for help or advice for members who are just starting their patchwork and quilting journey.
We usually arrange coach trips to the Malvern Spring Quilt Show and the Festival of Quilts at the NEC and the Knitting and Stitching Show. Non-members are welcome to join our coach trips. We occasionally hold workshops. We welcome visitors to our meetings. We do not have a waiting list.
