These are a great way to use up your stash, desperately needed and a doddle to make. Drain bottle bags are used by patients?post-operatively?to carry around their drain bags. The long strap is effective for drainage and this design means that the bags can rest on the floor when the patient is sitting down.?They are also used for carrying around syringe drivers (which are battery-operated pumps providing a continuous form of medication. About the size of a pencil case, they are attached to a patient subcutaneously and so can’t be put down. They are often used for pain relief in palliative care and anti-nausea drugs with chemotherapy.) These cotton bags are so much more attractive than plastic bags, not only a practical solution to carrying the drivers but giving patients a lift when they need it most. Cancer hospitals need loads of them because patients keep them when they leave the hospital to carry personal effects.

This is a brilliant, easy way of using up that cotton (therefore washable) stash which will bring much joy.
