Meet Geraldine: Your NEW Young Quilters National Officer

Hello quilters.

The keen eyed would have noticed that Carol Bowden is our new Chair of Membership. You might have been wondering – what happened to Geraldine? Did she have a bust-up with someone, thrown teddies out of the pram and walked out never to return again.

Ha, ha, ha... Sorry, no such luck. I’m still here. You cannot get rid of me that easily. I have a new role – National Young Quilter Officer. I cannot tell you how incredibly excited I am. My brain is whirling with ideas and we have already implemented some of them. My primary role is not to run the Young Quilters programme; it is to support and assist our fabulous volunteers who are running the Young Quilters groups. Another primary role is to bring a fresh new look to the programme which will invigorate more young people to join.

At the moment there are 8 regions actively running YQ groups. We would really like to reach more young people. If you feel as if you can make a contribution to our great group of YQ volunteers, why not drop me an email on [email protected]
