We have members from all over the East Midlands - Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Notts, even Northamptonshire. We are not affiliated with the US MQG but are an affiliate group with the Quilters Guild of Great Britain.
Meets on the second Saturday of every month (except August and December) 10-4 at Bradmore Village Hall, just off the A60 south of Nottingham.
This is an informal Modern group, meeting in a member's house 2-3 times a year.
Currently meeting 2/3 times per year.
This group focuses on contemporary, modern and art quilt designs and techniques. Starting with exploring ideas by sketching and colour exercises, we are developing design skills in relation to patchwork and quilting. There will be a theme each month with the aim of producing a small 'journal' quilt each month.
A good understanding of patchwork and quilting techniques and be looking to develop as a quilt artist is where this group starts. New members are always welcome.
If you are interested in joining the group, please phone 01234 824983 or look on our website – www.tudorrosepatchwork.co.uk and search for Modern and Art.
First Thursday of the month, 10am-4pm.
£31.50 per session. Alternatively you can book 6 sessions for £171.
