Our local museums are packed full of creative ideas for us to
take forward in our stitching journeys. The Panacea museum in
Bedford is a truly intriguing and unique space to explore. https://panaceamuseum.org/
For me, on a wander round, it led me to think on the beautiful work you can
accomplish in a Watercolour Quilt. There are no such quilts in the
museum it was just my creativity journey after a visit.
Therefore, I invite you to join the curator for tour of the museum and a
creative chat/demo over a cup of tea, on how to make a watercolour quilt
Parking is not that good but being on a Sunday there are street parking options around the building. Lurke Street, Multi Storey Car park is the nearest car park .
There is a small Tea & Cake Café and a delightful garden to enjoy and stone’s throw from the beautiful riverbank and the Higgins Museum should you wish to further explore.
There is free entry to the museum where donations are much appreciated. (This is not a Guild fundrasier just a social get together)
Limited to approximately 15 (if we have higher numbers a second tour can be booked)
It would be great if you could bring along with you 20 x 2-inch patterned squares of different values to share.
Hopefully, by the end of this chatty session you leave with a head full of creative ideas and a handful of squares to play with, either inspired by a watercolour quilt or what you have seen or heard in the museum
