We are one of the largest quilt groups in the South West (Gloucestershire, Bristol, Somerset) area with 130 members. We range from beginners to international teachers and exhibitors and we were founded in 1980 when we started meeting in Bristol.
We are committed to regularly raise money for local causes. For several years we have made baby quilts for both Southmead and St Michael’s premature units, we have a fundraising table for St Peter’s Hospice at every meeting and we also raise money for a different local charity at our exhibition, which is held every three years.
Our members meet at Redmaids' Junior School Hall, once month at in the evening. More information on our programme for this year can be found on our website.
We are a small, friendly group who enjoy sharing our ideas, knowledge and inspiration. Our meetings are primarily member-led mini workshops & talks but we also have occasional external speakers and tutors and organise an annual Shop Visit and Christmas Party. Quilters of any level of experience are welcome to our group.
We meet at St Edyth's Church in Sea Mills, Bristol. The evening meetings are once a month, typically on the 4th Monday of the month. We organise 2 Saturday workshops each year, one to make quilts for charity and the second with an eternal tutor. We have at least one speaker each year. We organise a shop visit in August and a Christmas meal out in December.

We are a group of 40-50 talented and enthusiastic quilters, who meet in Thornbury on the last Wednesday evening of the month, except for August and December. We hold a very successful public exhibition every 2 years in February. We are all levels of quilters, beginners and experienced, and have a combination of speakers and skill share evenings. We have some Saturday social sewing days throughout the year at a local hall. Visitors are welcome to come along to our meetings, hopefully with a view to you wanting to join us. Monthly in Thornbury, last Wednesday of the month, we start our meeting at 19:30, you are welcome from 7pm.
We are a friendly group with a great love of patchwork and quilting. Our meetings are a chance to hear external speakers, share work with show and tell sessions, catch up on local quilting news and events and share skills. We run occasional workshops and have an annual challenge. Every three years we hold a popular and well attended exhibition, with the next one coming up in 2027.
We meet on the second Monday of each month (except August) from 7.30 to 9pm, with tea and coffee being served from 7.15pm. The venue is on the number 1 bus route. A free car park is adjacent to the church, which has step-free access. Our January meeting is often held online.

We are very friendly long established group who meet 2nd and 4th Thursday in the evenings. We have a speaker most months and organise full day workshops throughout the year. We also hold regular 'sewing bees' making quilts and items for the local community and hospitals.

Our main meeting is on the second Wednesday every month, in the Arkell Centre, Nailsworth (from 7.30 – 9.00pm). Meetings are a mixture of mini-workshops and guest speakers.

We are a friendly group of sewing enthusiasts based in Cheltenham in the beautiful Cotswolds.
We meet to share our enjoyment of anything and everything to do with needles and thread.
We currently have 40 members who have a wide range of interests within textile arts and crafts; everything from patchwork and quilting to embroidery, dyeing and felting all served up with a large dose of fun and laughter, an occasional dash of adventure and a wonderful sense of community.
Some of our members are complete beginners and others have a wealth of knowledge and experience, who are more than eager to tell us about their work, show examples or give demonstrations. MQ members love to share their expertise; it's great to learn from each other.
We hold Patchwork Picnics - informal sewing days where we get together for the day to sew our own projects, to talk and to eat cake and there are always trips to shows, shops and other sewing activities.

Severnside Stitchers is a group of forty ladies of all ages and abilities who love to stitch. We are a friendly, enthusiastic bunch always keen to try out new techniques in fabric and thread, both traditional and modern.
We meet on the first and third Thursday of the month from 7pm to 9pm, the second Friday morning from 10am to 1pm and a Saturday workshop bi-monthly.
Our Summer and Christmas Socials are always popular when we have a shared lunch and a surprise project.

We are a relatively new group of Quilters. Alison Batchelor, who is a very experienced quilter and tutor, started the group in January 2024. We currently have a membership of 38 and we meet in our local shop, Spinning Weal, on Thursday evenings, alternatively throughout the month. We also meet alternate Fridays at our local council offices.
We plan approximately 3 workshops a year and a talk by a visiting Speaker too.

Portishead Quilters is a friendly and welcoming group, who meet twice a month, on the first and third Tuesday evening, in Redcliffe Bay Hall. We have a mixture of speakers and sewing evenings and we are open to everyone. The group members have a wide range of abilities from beginners to experienced. We have lots of projects on the go, including supporting a number of charities. We organise 3 to 4 workshops a year and we hold an exhibition once every two years.
We meet on the first and third Tuesday of the month from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, in Redcliffe Bay Hall, Newhaven Road, Portishead, BS20 8LH.
We have members at all levels from beginners to the very experienced, with a wide range of talents and expertise. While not a teaching group we happily share skills to help each other, and occasionally demonstrate techniques and projects to the group. It is a large, lively and friendly group.
We meet every Tuesday, from 9.30 to 4.30 - although members stay for all or part of the day, as it suits them. We meet in a lovely converted barn, with far reaching views across the countryside. We share our skills, but work on our own projects. We also make quilts for a local children’s charity. Everyone from beginners to the very experienced are welcome - especially those with a fondness for cake! We also run four pop up fabric and coffee shops a year in aid of our chosen charity.

Quirky Quilters - like minded friends who meet to sew … with occasional workshops, speakers and a biennial exhibition

The Sew Happy Quilters enjoy making all sorts of quilted items and improving their quilting skills either by machine or hand. Members also enjoy other needlecrafts as a break from quilting, when the quilting mojo is weak!!!!
The group is very active and has a strong, dedicated membership numbering approximately 18 ladies. Our quilting skills range from fairly novice to very experienced and everyone is keen to share their skills and support each other as we work on our own projects each week.
