Bristol Quilters

We are one of the largest quilt groups in the South West (Gloucestershire, Bristol, Somerset) area with 130 members. We range from beginners to international teachers and exhibitors and we were founded in 1980 when we started meeting in Bristol.

We are committed to regularly raise money for local causes. For several years we have made baby quilts for both Southmead and St Michael’s premature units, we have a fundraising table for St Peter’s Hospice at every meeting and we also raise money for a different local charity at our exhibition, which is held every three years.

Montpellier Quilters

We are a friendly group of sewing enthusiasts based in Cheltenham in the beautiful Cotswolds.
We meet to share our enjoyment of anything and everything to do with needles and thread.
We currently have 40 members who have a wide range of interests within textile arts and crafts; everything from patchwork and quilting to embroidery, dyeing and felting all served up with a large dose of fun and laughter, an occasional dash of adventure and a wonderful sense of community.
Some of our members are complete beginners and others have a wealth of knowledge and experience, who are more than eager to tell us about their work, show examples or give demonstrations. MQ members love to share their expertise; it's great to learn from each other.
We hold Patchwork Picnics - informal sewing days where we get together for the day to sew our own projects, to talk and to eat cake and there are always trips to shows, shops and other sewing activities.
The group is a wonderful opportunity to make friends, learn from about quilting from scratch or improve a technique. Please take a look at our website, or better still pay us a visit. Check out our website for further details.
