Region 5

Our region covers Gloucestershire, Bristol and Somerset. The M5 from junction 5 to 25 (Tewkesbury to Taunton) is the spine to our area and there are more than 50 quilt groups in our Region.

Being a large area geographically we try to have our meetings in a variety of places, though many are within easy reach of the M5. We aim to rotate the regional days from Gloucestershire, to Bristol and to Somerset. Each year we plan to have 2 regional days where there are 2 speakers or where members share a particular skill or do a mini-workshop.

Our digital regional newsletter, Five Patch, is sent to all members three times a year. In it you will find details of events and happenings, reviews and news from the quilting community in our region. All contributions welcome.

In Region 5 we do our best to support the Young Quilters group and in the past we have experimented with having YQ events associated with our regional days. For more details contact [email protected] or go to the Region 5 page on the YQ website
