Solway Quilters are a group of people from Dumfries and surrounding area who enjoy creating quilts.
Solway Quilters meet twice a month between September and June - every 3rd Saturday (10.00 - -15.00 at Dumfries Baptist Church Centre) and first Thursday (13.00 - 15.00 at Gracefield Arts Centre, 28 Edinburgh Road, Dumfries DG1 1JQ).
The Saturday sessions are normally the teaching sessions where either a member or an external person will present on a specific topic and members will experiment. Alternatively, the members can bring their own work and simply enjoy the camaraderie.
The Thursday sessions are an opportunity to meet and chat while working on personal projects or completing work started on the previous Saturday training session.
We are a friendly group of quilters who meet on the first Monday of the month ( No meeting in January ).
We have demonstrations by members of the group and every June we hold a fun day which is usually a full day workshop.
We always have tea and biscuits/cake. New members whether beginners or experienced quilters are always welcome.

Patchwork and quilting group based at Hallhill Sports Centre, Dunbar, East Lothian.
The group currently has 25 members.
Meetings are held weekly at Hallhill Sports Centre, Kellie Road, Dunbar on a Wednesday from 2pm - 4pm and on the 2nd & 4th Monday of each month from 7pm - 9pm.
Law Quilters are a group of forty quilters who have been meeting for over thirty years. We meet on Tuesday afternoons to create both individual and group projects. In addition, we also hold workshops one Saturday per month. These may be led by a group member or an invited tutor.
Our group projects focus on supporting hospitals and charitable bodies - Project Linus, women's refuge centres, neonatal quilts, bonding squares, mastectomy cushions. These are mainly distributed to Edinburgh hospitals and Maggie's Centre - we have also donated to The Borders General Hospital, Melrose and The Gilbert Bain Hospital, Shetland.
Over the last thirty odd years we have created many quilts to celebrate and commemorate events in our local communities e.g opening of Law Pimary Schools, the Community Centre anniversary, Edington Cottage Hospital.

Our group celebrates our 25th Anniversary in 2027. We meet monthly in Heart of Scotstoun Centre for talks delivered by notable speakers and inspiration from each other. We hold a couple of all day workshops each year, taught by well-known quilting teachers, as well as a two 'sewcial' days. We exhibit our work at the Scottish Quilt Show in March each year in Glasgow.

Nether Lochaber Sewing Group is a diverse and fully inclusive group of individuals, with 20 members at present. We meet informally once a week, holding an afternoon session and an evening session.
Every year we hold a weekend retreat, which we link by Zoom to members who are unable to come on the retreat. We also have several full days each year where we work on a project together, either making a group quilt or individual quilts for the Linus Project. This year we are planning to hold an exhibition. We also have a few projects/workshops each year, that extend members’ knowledge and abilities.
Nether Lochaber Sewing Group meets every Wednesday from 2.00pm to 4.30pm. We also meet on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm to 9.00pm if there is a sufficient number of people who wish to come in the evening.
Everyone brings either hand or machine sewing with them. Often, we start with an informal chat; looking at what people are doing, discussing our projects together and sharing information about patterns, different techniques and fabrics. At some stage we stop for a “coffee break”.
Bishopbriggs Patchers Club is a group who come together fortnightly during term time . We Are primarily a patchwork group, we have a programme of activities which members can get involved with or they can work on their own projects in class.
We socialise and chat as much as we sew and we all learn from each other. This is a friendly and welcoming group who like to help and support others.

We are a friendly welcoming group and love to encourage beginners to come along and join us. Souter Quilters is a group that has a diverse range of talents and welcomes quilters and patchwork stitchers of all abilities. We meet on the second and fourth Mondays of the month and alternate sewing evenings with speakers / workshops over the year. We usually hold 3 Saturday meetings, where you have time to get your sewing machine out or layout a quilt and help each other along the way. We have 32 members but have room for a few more.

The purpose of the group is to share and extend knowledge, skills and enjoyment of all aspects of sewing and fabric crafts for the benefit of members and other interested parties.
Membership of the group is open to individuals with an interest in furthering their knowledge and interest in fabrics and needlework techniques. The group encourages new members and there is no distinction for age, nationality, ability, gender or religion.
Shetland Needleworkers has an Annual General Meeting, usually in September where members renew their membership and the committee is elected.
The group usually meets at Isleburgh Community Centre on alternate Saturdays from September until May/June for workshops and social events.
A programme of activities is produced well in advance by the committee whilst taking into account suggestions from members to produce well balanced activities for the year.
Workshops are conducted by group members with particular skills and interests that varies widely; together with local tutors and visiting tutors from around the UK. Visiting tutors from the mainland usually come to Shetland for a whole weekend of workshops and we have had some of the top UK quilters as guests.

A small group of mix ability Quilters from Beginners to advanced sewers. We have classes and work days on the 2nd,3rd and 4th Wednesday's of the Month from September to July. We also make alot of charity quilts for local community and hospital. We enjoy learning new skills with at least 1 taught session per month with speakers from outside the group and the talented people within the group. There are refreshments available throughout the day between 10.30 and 3pm
