Acorn Quilters aim is to provide an inspiring and stimulating quilting environment by encouraging members to expand their knowledge and skills. The group meet fortnightly. The meetings are a mix of member driven workshops, self driven quilting projects, knowledge sharing and trouble shooting as well as inviting the occasional visiting tutor to teach us new skills.
Quilting together as a group creates a community within our local community. Members support each other in many ways and we enjoy time spent together in our love of all things quilting.

Beacon Quilters meet twice a month on a Monday to chat, sew and swap ideas. Sometimes we have tutorials or workshops given by members or outside craftspeople.

We are a small group of members who do a variety of different crafts including patchwork and quilting

Harbour Quilters and Stitchers
We meet every two weeks on a Wednesday 09.30 to 12.30pm.
Harbour Quilters and Stitchers is run by its members and welcomes all who apply to join wherever they are in their quilting and stitching adventure. We meet together in a spirit of friendship and goodwill.Enjoying meeting and working together to preserve and pass on skills and to promote quilting and stitching raising monies for local charities and ensuring a bright future for those crafts in our community.
We are a group of enthusiastic quilters based in Cornwall who meet every 2 weeks. Our outputs include quilts, throws, bags, embroidered pieces and we embrace many styles of quilting including appliqué, traditional blocks, modern and landscape quilts. We primarily learn from each other but have invited presenters occasionally to teach us new skills.
We meet every 2 weeks at Kea Community Centre
We are a Patchwork and Quilting group that meet 5 times each month. In a public hall where insurance is needed.

We are a warm welcoming group and happy to teach/show anyone who needs any help. We have occasional workshops and plans for away days at quilt shops in Cornwall.
We are an active group of ladies of mature years who seek to maintain and expand our knowledge and skills in patchwork and quilting. This helps to keep our brains active and fingers dextrous.
By joining together and being creative our aim is to keep our mental, physical and social well-being at good functioning levels whilst enjoying a day of sewing, chat and fun away from everyday cares.
The group meet twice monthly. One day is centred on a taught programme and the second to continue the project started or 'do your own thing.' We either use experienced members of the group or bring in external tutors for specific topics. This last year they have brought us two sessions of free-motion quilting - at beginners or refresher level and then making a Christmas Wreath. We've enjoyed an excellent day on Foundation Piecing and another on English Paper piecing. A quieter day was on Slow stitching and we will extend that to Kantha later in the year.
Most of us are starting a sampler quilt to embrace new blocks; several using the current Liberty fabrics
We have an annual Challenge with gift vouchers from our local Quilting Shop for the winner, 2nd and 3rd places as judged by the whole group. This last year it was a cushion cover with a Hallowe'en or Autumn theme - a fantastic variety was on display.
We have an annual celebratory lunch with our AGM in March with a raffle.
We adopt a Charity each year and donated £612 to Cornwall Air Ambulance. In 2025 it will be the Cinnamon trust. We sell redundant fabrics from our 'stashes' to each other so that they don't become too embarrassing or make things for sale.
We are organised by a small planning team - the Flying Geese.
We are a group of 22 that meet weekly.
We meet in the All Saints Village Hall every Thursday morning during school terms.
Friendly group of ladies (men are welcome) who love quilting and having a natter.
We have tea, coffee and cakes too.
We meet every 3rd Tuesday of the month between 10am and 1pm. Except for July and August when we have a summer break.
The group has like minded quilters who like to experiment and expand their skills. The group has an annual challenge and exhibits at Cowslip Workshops, West Country Quilt Show and Grosvenor Shows. They also represent CQ at the Exeter Craft Show every September.
There are many opportunities for work to be displayed and appreciated.
The group meets quarterly for a full Sunday, usually January, April, July and October.
There is an annual membership fee and meeting fee.
The quarterly meetings are held on a Sunday in Woodbury, Exeter. A variety of work is undertaken, including working on challenges, demonstrations, and having a visiting quilter whose skill will enhance the members in many ways. We are run by a collegiate approach.
We are a group of up to 40 members which started initially as a quilting group and while we occasionally venture into other forms of needlework, quilting remains the main interest of the group. We are not a teaching group but are all willing to share our knowledge and experience whenever possible.
We have a full programme of events planned for this year, with a number of workshops -both in-house and with visiting tutors. We also hold an exhibition every few years.
We meet on the third Saturday of every month, from 12.00 to 4.00
We are a small group of 14 who meet regularly for tea, biscuits, chat and quilting. We like to pass our varied skills to everyone in the group and often work on projects. Occasionally we have a guest tutor. We also try to set a challenge for members once or twice a year.
Cream teas and a Christmas meal are a regular event !

A very active group of quilters with various degrees of expertise.
Age range is varied and there's always help if needed. The group have just completed an exhibition in the Town Hall Tavistock which was delayed because of Covid.
We do have speakers come and demonstrate their skills and we join in wherever possible.
We meet twice a month in the local church hall. tea and biscuits are supplied.

Poundbury Quilters comprises of no more than 22 members and at the present time we have no vacancies. The group is relaxed and members skills are shared throughout
Poundbury Quilters meet weekly on Monday except during school holidays between 10am and 1pm at Dorchester Community Church. We have in house work shops each term and the timetable responds to requests from members. At the present time we have 22 members

Not a quilting group, Wimborne Stitchers is a friendly group of stitchers with wide ranging sewing skills. We meet at Three-Legged Cross Village Hall on the third Tuesday of each month except August and December. The meeting starts at 10.00 am and closes at 3 pm, with members arriving from 9.30 to set the room up and enjoy a tea or coffee.
A varied and full programme of mainly tutor led workshops is organised for the year with catch up days included.
Not a quilting group, Wimborne Stitchers meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the month apart from August and December.
With mainly tutor led workshops the requirements list is emailed to members in advance of the meeting.
The cost of most workshops is included in the annual membership fee, payable at the AGM in January. There are occasionally additional costs requested by the tutor for materials supplied. These are always notified in advance.
Patchwork & Quilting Group
The Group meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, from 10 am till 1pm with a break for summer at the United Reform Church Burton, Christchurch, Dorset.
