Membership

Created for quilters by quilters, The Quilters' Guild understands the importance of community; for friendship, to share, teach, inspire, challenge and to support and encourage each other. Join The Quilters' Guild to become the quilter you'd like to be.

What are the benefits of membership?

- The Guild is made up of 18 geographical regions each of which hold their own workshops and events throughout the year, as well as producing their own regular newsletters to members, so you will be able to meet, make and learn with people in your area face to face.

- As a national organisation, The Guild has members spread across the UK and internationally and thanks to our social media platforms and online offerings it's possible for you to meet and share with members from anywhere you choose.

- Members receive a copy of our quarterly magazine The Quilter, not available in the shops.

- The Guild has five Special Interest Groups: British Quilt Study Group, Contemporary Textiles (was Contemporary Quilt), Miniature Quilt Group, Modern Quilt Group and Traditional Quilt Group. These groups are full of quilters of all abilities, have their own meetings and publications, and also offer quilt challenges which members can join in with. The Special Interest Groups are a great way to add value to your Guild membership and to gain knowledge and inspiration.

- You'll have the satisfaction of knowing that, as you are supporting an educational charity and our accredited Museum Collection, your membership fees are contributing towards preserving the heritage of the allied crafts of patchwork, quilting and appliqué in the UK, and providing educational opportunities in these crafts for people of all ages.

- Members of our Quilters' Guild automatically become members of the European Quilt Association (EQA) which provides an opportunity to enter challenges and exhibit across Europe.

- Guild membership enables you to apply for a range of Bursaries & Awards to support you in developing your quilting skills and knowledge.

- The Festival of Quilts, held each year at the Birmingham NEC, has a special early bird workshop and lecture booking system for Guild members as well as a special member rate ticket. Many of the workshops sell out very quickly, so having the chance to book in advance of the general public is a boon!

- Another great benefit is that Guild members receive special member prices for Guild events, and with many traders at The Festival of Quilts and shops around the UK through our 10% discount scheme

All of this and more for around £1 a week. Become a member today to start enjoying the benefits.
