Freehand Florals
Knowing how to freehand quilt a variety of floral motifs, without marking, in a variety of settings is one of the most flexible freehand skills a quilter can have. Eliminating dependence of stencils, robotics, or excessive planning is one of the keys to quick, pragmatic, yet beautiful quilting designs.
Florals have several elements, like petals, centres, leaves, and berries, we can learn to use interchangeably to create endless combinations of floral themes. Learn to use them in meanders, wreaths, serpentine borders, piano key borders, setting triangles, or stand-alone features and confidently create whole quilt plans with tailor made floral themes.
Make sure you have a notebook and pencil at the ready and note that the talk is not due to finish until 7.30. There is also a handout for this presentation.
The presentation will be recorded and available for 28 days afterwards.
