This year Festival lived up to all its promises. The traders were plentiful with wonderful products to tempt everyone (including me). The quilts were amazing and as always, the prize winners caused much controversy.

I'm not certain but I think there were fewer entries from Region 3 this year which was disappointing but what we lacked in quantity we certainly made up for in quality. Our very own Sara Richards was thrilled to receive a 'Judges Choice' award and quite rightly too. And once again Abigail Clinton took top honours in the 10 - 13 Young Quilters category with Jessica Cleife getting shortlisted for a prize but just missing out.

Our two Sapphire Challenge quilts looked amazing and I overheard many complimentary comments as I lingered beside them. Well done to all who took part and thank you.

Please, if I missed your quilt I sincerely apologise and the photos are the best I could manage given the amount of time one gets with no-one standing in from of the quilt admiring all the wonderful stitching!
