"Travels with my Sketchbook"

City scenes, landscapes, coastline: sketches which might be glimpses, or more lengthy observations that aim to capture the world as our speaker sees it. Mike's talk will focus on these drawings and their stories, both on-screen and with original sketchbooks. He will show, with examples, how some of these sketches form the basis of his quilt designs, with added inspiration taken from colourful vintage travel posters.

• There will be a morning sewing activity, so please bring your hand sewing kit.
• And don’t forget to bring items for show and tell.

• A trader and bring & buy stall will also be available.
