In Person
Come and join us for a super, sewcial day out with Jenny Haynes at Epperstone Village Hall. Jenny is the face behind Papper,Sax,Sten.
If you have visited the Festival of Quilts you will have seen her distinctive and colourful designs amongst the competition quilts.
Jenny is from Sweden where she originally studied Pattern Cutting and Tailoring in her home city of Stockholm. She moved to London to study Fashion & Textiles and then went on to develop her own label “Papper, Sax, Sten” (Paper, Scissors, Stone)
She has created award winning designs, with her quilts and furnishings recognised for their clean, simple, modern and colourful designs that reflect her Scandinavian roots.
Jenny will talk to us about her design journey. Her winding path as someone who ’gives shape to things’ begins in Sweden in the 70’s and leads to fashion studies (via Stockholm and London) and eventually quilts.
You can find more about Jenny on her website
https://pappersaxsten.com
There will be a morning activity, so please bring your hand sewing kit. And don't forget to bring items for show and tell, a mug, and a packed lunch!
Our Trader for the morning will be Lisa Naylor from https://modernquiltclub.co.uk
Our bring & buy stall will also be available.
Jenny's talk will take place in the afternoon.
