A THREAD SPECIAL DAY
(A change to our previously advertised day due to unforeseen circumstances.)
Two speakers for the price of one (and plenty of time to talk to friends over lunch).

In the morning, a talk from Lou Orth, entitled Aurifilosophy.
Lou says “I will share a structural presentation and trunk show of Aurifil products. We’ll cover thread basics, including information on weight and ply, spool positioning, bobbin weights, needle and tension settings. I’ll offer helpful tips and tricks, share projects and photos aimed to inspire and expand your use of Aurifil threads. Each attendee will receive Aurifil swag and a small spool of thread”

In the afternoon, a talk from Julie Heaton. Julie makes incredible pieces of art using machine embroidery on soluble fabric.
With a love for drawing, Julie began using her sewing machine to make work that couldn't be corrected and where errors were allowed to become part of her work. Free machine embroidery became her chosen medium and today she continually tries to push the boundaries of stitch.
