Upcoming Events and Exhibitions

This Regional Day is a ONE day event and our speaker for the morning is Gilli Theokritoff, who will be bringing you her lively and amusing talk “Please Don’t Look at the Back”. This is a quilt-filled rummage through Gilli’s quilting life from shoe designer to professional quilter. The afternoon will have a more relaxed feel, with Gilli guiding us in her Kantha Stitched Printed Panel Workshop. Kits will be available for £2 cash, you will just need to bring a small sewing kit to complete your panel. Taking part in the workshop isn’t compulsory, so please do stay for a chat and a cuppa. We welcome both QGBI members and non members from our region and beyond. Our Regional Days are great way to meet up with fellow quilters from across Essex and Suffolk, catch up with old friends and make new ones too. We will be hosting a Show & Tell, a BAG - (any shape & size) competition, a raffle and the Sales Table, where attendees can sell their unwanted quilting supplies.

Secondhand Sales Table:
Please bring goods in good condition that may be of use to other quilters.
Please attach a removable numbered label with the price and your name/initials, together with an A4 list with the corresponding numbering in duplicate.
Items cannot be accepted unless this has been done.
Label fabric with size and price.
Please note that our volunteers are unable to cut fabric on the day.
N.B. the Guild takes a 20% commission.
