Terms and Conditions of Sale for Membership

1. Introduction

1.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to the purchase of membership for The Quilters' Guild ("the Guild").

1.2 By purchasing a membership, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Membership Benefits

2.1 Membership grants access to the benefits as outlined on the Guild’s website or membership literature.

2.2 The Guild reserves the right to modify or discontinue benefits at any time without prior notice.

3. Membership Categories and Fees

3.1 Membership runs for a 12-month period from the date of joining or renewal. By applying or renewing, you are committing to this membership term.

3.2 The Guild offers different categories of membership, each with its own fees and benefits.

3.3 Membership fees are subject to change. Any changes will be communicated in advance to existing members.

4. Payment and Renewal

4.1 Membership fees must be paid at the time of application or renewal.

4.2 Membership is valid for 12 months and must be renewed for continued access to benefits.

4.3 If a membership is not renewed before its expiry date, access to benefits will be suspended until renewal.

5. Refunds and Cancellations

5.1 Membership fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated under statutory rights.

5.2 The Guild may consider refunds in exceptional circumstances at its sole discretion.

5.3 If a member chooses to cancel their membership before the expiry date, no refund will be provided.

6. Conduct and Termination of Membership

6.1 Members are expected to adhere to the Guild’s Code of Conduct and act in a manner that aligns with its values.

6.2 The Guild reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership if a member engages in conduct deemed inappropriate or damaging to the Guild.

6.3 No refunds will be given in cases where membership is terminated due to misconduct.

7. Data Protection and Privacy

7.1 The Guild collects and processes personal data in accordance with UK data protection laws and its Privacy Policy.

7.2 Members agree to receive communications related to their membership and the Guild’s activities unless they opt out.

8. Changes to Terms and Conditions

8.1 The Guild reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

8.2 Members will be notified of any significant changes that may affect their membership rights.

9. Governing Law

9.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales (or Scotland/Northern Ireland as applicable).

9.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
