We do our best to make requesting insurance as easy and painless a process as possible for our affiliated members. Please note the following information, so that we can get your cover up and running before your event begins.
The most important thing to know is that you must advise The Guild of your planned activities, so that the insurance cover can be put in place. This means submitting an Insurance Request & Risk Assessment using our online form which will guide you through the process. Please click on the button below to navigate to the Insurance Request & Risk Assessment online form.
Please remember, an Insurance Request & Risk Assessment must be submitted for each activity that you host. If we have not received a request, your activity will not be covered.
For any regular events and committee meetings, you only need to fill a form out once a year, unless you change the venue previously stated on the form or the nature of the activity changes (for example, you switch from in-person to virtual meetings, or you start using soldering irons).
For any other activities, you will need to fill out a form each time.
Once you have submitted the form online, a confirmation message will be displayed on screen, and you can save or print a copy of the form you’ve submitted (click on the 3 dots at the top right of the screen, then click on 'print response'. You can select 'save as pdf' as the printer if you want to save a copy, or you can print it out)
Our online form makes requesting insurance quick and easy. However, If you are unable to fill in your Insurance Request online, please contact us on [email protected] and we will be able to provide you with an alternative solution.
If you are hosting any public events on top of the five that are included with your membership, please use the button below to make your payment of £10.
