I live in Winchelsea, East Sussex, near Hastings. I spent many years in Egypt, first of all on my own and later with my husband, who worked for the British Council. My first two daughters (of three) were born there and I try to get back there at least every 18 months or so.
I started quilting when we moved to Romsey in Hampshire in the 1970s and I met June Thorpe. While there I was a member of the Wessex Quiltmakers and the Romsey Quilters.
I spent many years selling my work at various craft shows but I have now decided that I will only make things that I actually want to make!
I rejoined the Quilters' Guild last year after my first visit to the Festival of Quilts. I plan to visit the Festival again this year as I very much want to see the Egyptian Tentmakers in particular.
