Since March I have been running the Sewing Box Stitch Club which is a monthly online Club set up during lockdown. Every month I send out pdf patterns with instructions (my own designs) ,blocks and mini-makes with video tutorials & a Wednesday night Live feed for sew-alongs , questions & general frivolity!. All levels welcome this is a friendly & supportive group that you can join in your pj's from anywhere!
Everything is sent via email and if you aren't on Facebook I send a link the next day so you can still watch the Live feeds etc videos are on You Tube. Any problems can be resolved with a video call (had a few machine issues over lockdown sorted so if you can't get to a class or group easily this might be just the thing!
Cost is only£5 a month please check out the FB group for the sort of things we've been doing..,or contact me for more information. Wednesday night sew-alongs are open to all on my Sewing Box Somerset Facebook page.

I have sewn for as long as I can remember ,starting with Barbie dresses (if you can call a rectangle with a hole for the head and a sash at the waist a dress....) and a sewing machine has been a source of income ,creativity and comfort for most of my adult life. I started quilting 30 years ago and have been teaching in the Taunton and Bridgwater area for the last 7 years and can honestly say it has been the best job ever! I also freelance for Janome Uk at shows as a demonstrator.
As far as I am concerned anyone can learn to sew and every home should have a sewing machine, every week I see how sewing and quilting can build confidence, forge friendships and fire imaginations and am so happy when yet another person starts their quilting journey.....and if you think this sounds a bit evangelical you should hear me after a glass of wine!
