Jan Godding

I have been quilting for about 34 years. As a child I saw my great Aunt Hattie use , what I now know as Suffolk Puffs, to make tea cosies and egg cosies from her daughters dressmaking scraps. Both her daughters were professional dressmakers and every picture rail in their house was hung with work finished and in progress, I loved visiting them.
When my son was born I began to make a suffolk puff quilt and later on I joined a group started by Pat Salmon, a founder Guild member who encouraged us all to join the Guild. This was the Mole Valley Quilters who are still going strong today.
I am interested in all textile arts and embroider, make felt as well as making quilts of all types and sizes. I look forward to making a lot more now I have retired.
