First exhibition for Modern Quilt

Modern Quilt's 60 degree triangle challenge quilts

Modern Quilt, The Guild's specialist group dedicated to the development of Modern Quilting, had their first exhibition at the West Country Quilt & Textile show (12 - 14 November 2015).

Forty quilts were submitted to the Challenge, which was to make a quilt using 60 degree triangles.  The Visitors' Choice Award was won by Kim Monins of Jersey.

An information stand accompanied the exhibition and had plenty of quilts for visitors to handle.  The group also showed samples of purses and gave out instruction sheets on how to make a purse for the Region 9 tombola at Festival of Quilts 2016.
