Katja May

I'm an ardent quilter and a PhD student at the University of Kent researching the representation of needlework in women's writing. I'm specifically interested in how text and textile can become means of political activism.

I like to you use scraps and upcycled materials (especially damask sheets) in my quilts.
All my quilts are either hand quilted or machine quilted by myself on my home sewing machine.

I blog about my PhD project at kamaquilts.blogspot.com
