Quilt Studies

The Journal of the British Quilt Study Group, published annually following the Group's Annual Seminar weekend.

The research papers read at the seminar are published in full in Quilt Studies.

Issues 1,6 and 8 are now out of print.

Issues 2,3,4/5,7 and 9 are avialable and an order form can be found under the Specialist groups /British Quilt Study Group/quilt studies. Details of the research papers in each available issue are listed.

Subjects vary from the investigations carried out on a dated 1718 quilt (issues 4/5 and 9)to The Changing Perceptions of the Quilt (issue 2) The history of Patchwork and Quilting in Norway (issue 7) and The Meaning of a late Eightenth Coverlet (issue 3)

Culcita

Culcita is the newsletter of the British Quilt Study Group, published three times a year and distributed free to BQSG members and friends

The newsletter contains full details and reports on BQSG events and activities as well as articles on quilt-related textile topics,book reviews and exhibition highlights.

  • Members and friends of BQSG: Free.
  • Non-members: £3 plus postage
