Why join The Quilters' Guild of The British Isles?

These are some of the reasons:

  • Events organised by The Guild can be found in your area and as a Guild member, you have reduced entry fees for Guild events regionally and nationally.
  • Enjoy an excellent conference weekend with lots of workshops and speakers.
  • Keep up to date with what is happening locally via your Regional Newsletter - three or four issues each year.
  • Receive 4 copies a year of our magazine The Quilter and read quality articles and excellent reports.
  • Borrow books and study packs from our large library facility of over 1,700 books.
  • Use of the Members' Room at our Quilt Museum and Gallery where you can enjoy a quiet seat and a cup of tea or coffee free.
  • Improve your skills and make new friends at our workshops and retreats.
  • Support an important educational charity which encourages people of all ages to take up the craft.
  • Become a volunteer and influence what happens in your Guild.
  • For an additional fee you can join one of our four specialist groups learning more about quilt heritage with BQSG, Miniature quilts, Traditional quilts or Contemporary quilts.
  • Share friendship, enthusiasm, learning opportunities ... the list goes on for members of The Guild!

All of this costs just 72p per week - less than the price of a packet of needles or a cup of tea!

Membership is open to people of all interests and abilities.  There are no qualifications needed. If you would like to join us click on "Apply for Membership" in the margin to the left to learn more!

We look forward to hearing from you!
