Exhibition of Quilting Art at Venue 123
Joint Exhibition by Pat Archibald's Students and Turning Point.
Festival City is a themed exhibition by Pat Archibald's Creative Journey students reflecting festivals in cities which students had visited. Inspiration was taken from small private celebrations and major national and international events.
My Country is a new collection of work by the 10 textile artists who comprise Turning Point in which the makers reflect the aspects of Scottish history, culture, landscape and politics which they think reflect their native land best.
Light refreshments available.

Autumn Regional Day
Come along and enjoy another great day at this wonderful venue.

Tina Gravatt - American Quilter, Tina, now lives in Scotland and will be giving us a tour of Great Britain and Europe through her miniature quilts.
Fiona Diaper - Museum Director at the Guild Museum and Gallery in York who will talk about the work of the Museum and the Heritage Collection.
Competition : "Are you sitting comfortably" - make a cushion, any size or shape, plain or fancy.
Usual traders, raffle, show and tell and display of blocks from the Regional Friendship Wall.

Stirling Residential Weekend for QGBI Members only
Region 16 would like to invite Guild Members from all over the United Kingdom to our renowned Members Only Residential Weekend in the beautiful surroundings of Stirling University.
Tutors for 2011 are:
Anja Townrow, Pauline Barnes, Jacquie Harvey, Katharine Guerrier and Susan Chapman
There will also be a presentation on Saturday evening by Anja Townrow which is included in the cost. (This is also open to Quilters not attending the weekend for which tickets will be available at a later date).
The weekend includes – full board from the evening meal on Friday night to lunch on Sunday with two nights’ accommodation in a single, en-suite room on the University Campus; workshop tuition on Friday evening, all day Saturday and Sunday morning. Ground floor rooms for the less able and special dietry arrangements can be made but must be applied for at the time of booking.
Stirling University Campus is situated in the centre of Scotland with good road and rail links, and frequent air links to Glasgow and Edinburgh. So come along and join us for a truly special experience.

Deposit £50 - required on application (non refundable)
Two instalments of £110 - First Instalment due 1st November 2010, Second Instalment due 1st April 2011
