Exhibition and Demonstrations at Barbon Open Gardens

will commence at Barbon Village Hall (LA6 2LL)  

included in this event will be an  exhibition and demonstrations

by

Barbon Art Club,

Barbon Sugar Craft Group,

Kirkby Lonsdale & District Embroiderers' Guild

and

Lunesdale Quilters. 

Entry fee will be Adults £5 Senior Citizens £3.50 and children will be free.  Parking will be available and refreshments provided by the WI."

Quilters retreat

Enjoy a wonderful weekend indulging your passion for patchwork and quilting, with a choice of two inspirational internationally recognised quilters, -  Janice Gunner and Gwenfai Rees Griffiths, in the heart of the Lake District.

Create a Storm at Sea quilt using traditional and distorted blocks with Gwenfai Rees Griffiths  

Be Influenced by Japan with Japanese fabrics, landscape and culture to produce a unique scroll like quilt with Janice Gunner 

Welcoming accommodation is provided by Rydal Hall set in over 30 acres of woodland and gardens with wonderful views over the Rothay Valley.  

Cost: Full Board which includes accommodation, all meals and workshops Friday pm, Saturday, leaving Sunday pm 

Quilters’ Guild members £230

Non Quilters’ Guild members £300 

A non returnable deposit £160 is payable on booking with the balance due 1 month before the Retreat. Places are limited, so book early to secure your place.
