Welcome to Region 6 from your Regional Co-ordinator

Region 6 covers Berkshire and Oxfordshire. There are at present around 280 members. We have two region days a year, one in Oxfordshire and one in Berkshire, where we bring in speakers and a trader. Sometimes the event runs over two days, if we want a workshop as well. We also hold a coffee morning twice a Year, again one in Oxfordshire and one in Berkshire, and these are usually well attended. At these events members sometimes bring their work along for a show-and-tell session. These are both interesting and inspiring to other members. It is also a time for members to get to know one another and to exchange ideas.

In my time as Region Co-ordinator, I hope the Quilters' Guild can inspire more individuals to take up quilting and to become Quilters' Guild members, possibly by coming along to one of our Region days or coffee mornings.

There are many different groups in the area. Some are more traditional, some contemporary, some have workshops and regular speakers. There will certainly be a group out there which will suit your needs.

Come along and join us. Look for a group near you on the web site or contact me.
