Welcome to Region 12: From Your Regional Co-ordinator

Hello Quilters and Non Quilters.

Region 12 covers South and Mid Wales from just above Aberystwyth across to the Border with England and down to the Bristol Channel. If you are in the area and you feel you want a quilting "fix" please contact me for information (my details are on the regions contacts page)

The Festival of Quilts now feels like a distant memory but what a fantastic exhibition. I was lucky enough to spend a full 3 days looking, eating, breathing and talking about quilts and quilting. There was lots of discussion about all the exhibits and everyone had their favorites, one thing I will say the standard was fantastic. If you didn’t go this year you should really try next year.

We have some exciting events coming up both for members and non members:

Saturday October 23rd - Region Day at Llandybie Memorial Hall, Llandybie just 10 minutes from Junction 49 of the M4. Our speaker is Anja Townrow, we have a special quiz and 2 super raffles. Our traders are Marion's Patchworks, Karen Small -recylced fabrics and "The Good Yarn.

The cost is £6.00 for members and £9.00 for non-members. Please apply for tickets from Linda Porter or Jackie Pugh.

Sunday October 24th - Workshop with Anja Townrow, "Make a Masterpiece in a Day". at Ystradowen Village Hall, Ystradowen (Nr Cowbridge). Please apply for tickets from Linda Porter or Jackie Pugh.

The cost is members £30 and non-members £35

Tuesday December 7th. Members only Christmas Party at Bonvilston Reading Room, Bonvilston (on the A48 between Cowbridge and Culverhouse Cross)

This will be a day of silly games and good food. We hope that everyone will bring a plate of food, surnames A-P savoury dishes please but no sausage rolls thank you and surnames Q-Z yummy puds but no mince pies thank you.

There will be a free raffle, your number will be on your ticket.

The cost will be £3.50.
